Cutting the Glare is Photodon's Key to Better Screen Viewing

| By Jenny Sockol

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to experience a glare on your device's screen, no matter how large the screen or how large the glare. Did you also know that visual health can be negatively affected when your eyes are exposed to long periods of glare (Glare in Vision: Managing, and Reducing Its Impact (specialty.vision))? Not only is it annoying to try and see past that glare at what is on your screen, but headaches and eye fatigue can occur as well.

Photodon offers several anti-glare material choices. Choose from these different materials in order to create an anti-glare screen protector that is perfect for your needs.

Anti-Glare Materials

MXH – 25% Anti-Glare

For a slight glare, our MXH is a great choice! The 25% anti-glare finish is just enough to cut down the glare while protecting your screen. MXH is very popular for vehicles' in-dash screens since it eliminates enough glare while still keeping the screen easily viewable from the side. MXH is also popular for drawing tablets for the artists who want a more paper-like feel for their digital drawing experience.

MXT – 50% Anti-Glare

For those dealing with more glare, we suggest our MXT (50% anti-glare). While we recommend MXT for all devices, it is the most popular for TVs, industrial displays, outside displays, and church service monitors. MXT is also great for drawing tablets since it also has a paper-like feel. Because of its higher percentage of matting, you may experience some graying out when viewing the screen in direct sunlight or at extreme angles. For this reason, it may not be the best for color-critical work or in situations where the screen is viewed from the side.

MXG – 85% Anti-Glare

To provide the highest amount of anti-glaring, try our MXG (85% anti-glare). MXG is the best at minimizing overhead light reflections. While it works well on smaller devices, we typically recommend it for larger displays like TVs, presentation displays, and kiosks. You may experience some graying out when viewing the screen in direct sunlight or at extreme angles with MXG. Keep this in mind if you have color-critical work or view the screen from the side.

HSG – 85% Anti-Glare with Impact Protection and Scratch Resistance

If you're looking for the most anti-glaring possible with the added benefit of impact protection, our HSG (85% anti-glare) may be what you need. HSG's high anti-glare property has both extra scratch protection AND protection from blunt force impacts. HSG is mostly used for industrial use or field work where the devices are at a higher risk of damage. You may experience some graying out when viewing the screen in direct sunlight or at extreme angles.

AGB – 85% Anti-Glare with Blue Light Protection

For those looking for an anti-glare option combined with blue light protection, choose our AGB (85% anti-glare) material. Because AGB has both pf these properties, it is popular for tablets and computer monitors. You may experience some graying out when viewing the screen in direct sunlight or at an angle.
